The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is a role-playing game based on the French free audiobook series Le Donjon de Naheulbeuk, which has become quite popular all over the Internet, as well as having its own comic book series and several Board games. This video game is the result of a collaboration between the experienced publishing company Microids and Artefacts Studio. The story of the game The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is set in a medieval fantasy universe. The player controls a group of fairly formal RPG characters. A mysterious wizard hired them to enter the namesake dungeon of Nahoilbake And take the twelfth and last of the incredibly valuable Galdelferh figurines, which is the key to fulfilling a certain dark prophecy. The gameplay in the Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is based on the rules of classic computer role-playing games, but it is also enriched with a tactical turn-based combat system. As in the original audiobook, a characteristic element of Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is humor and a light-hearted approach to some of the genre's cliches. Notably, the game was co-developed by the original Creator John Lang, a.k.a Pen of Chaos, whose main task was to monitor the quality of the script and dialogues.
