The third installment in The Dark Pictures Anthology series. The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes tells the story of American soldiers who awakened ancient evil in the ancient underworld in the Middle East. Famous actors appear in the game, including Ashley Tisdale.

House of Ashes is the subtitle of the third installment in The Dark Pictures Anthology series. Like the two previous parts of the series, i.e. Man of Medan and Little Hope, this production is a horror adventure game. The project was developed by Supermassive Games studio and released by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The plot of The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes takes us to the Middle East, and more precisely – to a region reminiscent of the Afghan Hindu Kush. During the game, we follow the fate of American soldiers who, while exploring the ancient underworld, awakened the ancient evil.

Mechanics
As in the two previous parts of the series, in The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes we observe the action from film shots. During the game, we can take control of several characters who travel through various locations, solve environmental puzzles and face various challenges – from dexterity, to clashes and escaping from adversaries. How their fate will turn out, and which protagonists will survive or how (and when) they will die, depends on our actions and the choices we make.

Game modes
The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes allows you to play alone, in cooperation mode over the Internet or as part of the so-called Movie Night, where individual players sitting in front of one screen control selected characters.

Technical issues
The Dark Pictures: Little Hope has high quality graphics. The appearance and voices of individual characters were given by real actors, including Ashley Tisdale.
